Most Namibia Premier League (NPL) matches take place on weekends when most people are off work, but very few supporters turn up at stadiums to watch the teams play.
The poor turnout of supporters at games could be attributed to the poor marketing of matches.

The Namibia Independent Security Union (NISU) says since the introduction of its funeral benefit scheme in 2013, it has spent over N$38 000 on 19 coffins for members who died.
NISU secretary-general Simon Kandondo says the union saw the need for such a scheme because security guards do not enjoy the same employment benefits as other employees.
An agreement was signed with three funeral undertakers in terms of which NISU pays N$2 000 towards the cost of a coffin. The undertakers are Avbob, Mukwe and Mutelo.
The benefit is only applicable to fully paid-up members.
