The economic and administrative hub of the Kunene Region, Opuwo, on Thursday inaugurated its first set of traffic lights.
The traffic lights are situated at the corner of Mbumbijazo Muharukua Avenue and Sam Nujoma Drive. That is where the C41 road to Kamanjab and Ruacana meets the C43 road to Okanguati and Epupa Falls.
Kunene Regional Governor Angelika Muharukua inaugurated the traffic lights, saying: “I am proud to see these traffic lights being inaugurated in Opuwo. We are catching up with old towns like Otjiwarongo which has four traffic lights.”
