Namibia and Germany have signed an inter-governmental agreement to kick-start renewable energy projects worth more than €45 million (N$607 million).
Finance Minister, Calle Schlettwein, and the Federal Republic of Germany ambassador to Namibia, Onno Huckmann, yesterday signed the agreement that further strengthens ties between the two countries.
The agreement allows NamPower access a loan of N$607million from the Kreditanstalt fur Wiederaufbau (KfW), in accordance with the terms and conditions laid down.
