State disputes that American murder accused is unfit for trial

The State is questioning the correctness of the psychiatric report that declared the American suspect in the murder of the 25-year-old André Heckmair in Windhoek on 7 January 2011 unfit to stand trial.
State advocate Antonia Verhoef feels there appears to be a need for more examination.
Judge Christie Liebenberg observed that the law provides that if the finding is not unanimous or is disputed, the accused Marcus Kevin Thomas or the person who examined the patient may be called to provide evidence.
