President Hage Geingob and the Minister of Urban and Rural Development, Sophia Shaningwa, have indicated that the government will provide funding for the servicing of land by local authorities.
They made a surprise visit to Area 7 in Narraville, where the Walvis Bay town council is developing 246 erven.
“I am impressed with what’s being done by the council about the housing issue in Walvis Bay. The cost of servicing land is high due to the middleman and lack of money is a problem.
