Welwitschias plan sweet revenge Namibia’s Windhoek Draught Welwitschias will try to avenge one of their most humiliating losses when they take on the Griffons in Welkom tomorrow.The Namibian team had lost 101-0 to Griffons when they met in the Currie Cup at the Hage Geingob Stadium in May.
With the Welwitschias growing in strength since then, their clash in the First Division of the competition affords Namibia the chance to right a few wrongs from that match.
Griffons will be without star player Selwyn Davids. The fullback, who has scored a number of tries for Griffons, has a hamstring injury.
The Welwitschias will once again relish the role of underdog as the Griffons will be under pressure not only to win but to do so with a high score that will see them reaching the knockout stages of the Currie Cup First Division.
During their visit to Windhoek, Griffons scored 15 tries.
