Orlando Pirates Football Club has been ordered by the Office of the Labour Commissioner to pay eight players their outstanding salaries by 30 August 2016 following an arbitration hearing on 12 July 2016.
Arbitrator Christophina Namupala-Hamutele made the default judgement on Tuesday after Orlando Pirates failed to send a representative to the hearing.
The Namibia Football Players’ Union (NFPU) represented players Ronaldo Tsowaseb, Valton van Staden, Ivan Makina, Charles Uirab, Stanley Kamesepo, Marcello Horaseb, Riaan Hanamub and Christian Doeseb in the matter.
