Superstitions cause panic in taxis

At least two Windhoek women have jumped out of moving taxis because of rumours about witchcraft involving snakes.
The police have urged people to remain calm.
A Windhoek taxi driver was questioned by the police on Friday after a 24-year-old woman had jumped out of his taxi.
The woman told Namibian Sun that her decision to jump out of the taxi followed a conversation about a woman who allegedly died after a snake was put between her legs while she was travelling in a taxi.
