Boy dies after falling from donkey

A 15-year-old boy died in the Tsumkwe settlement on Friday after he fell from a donkey and an iron rod pierced his eye.
Donkeys and donkey carts are common means of transport in the Tsumkwe Constituency.
The Otjozondjupa police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Maureen Mbeha, said the boy was identified as Murambi Jatutjiri.
She said Jatutjiri was riding a donkey on the Tsumkwe Senior Secondary School playground when he fell off while holding an iron rod in his hand. He was using the rod to “control the donkey”, Mbeha said.
