The United People’s Movement (UPM) has called on the government to include former South West African Territory Force (SWATF) and ex-Koevoet soldiers in the national budget.
Speaking during the budget debate on Tuesday, UPM Member of Parliament Jan van Wyk said Namibia could not claim to create wealth and share prosperity if it excluded some people.
According to him, the government’s efforts to eradicate poverty would be futile if it continued to ignore these former soldiers.
