Air Namibia has denied that its apparent drive to “Namibianise” its workforce is an attempt to rid the airline of white staff or long-serving expatriates who have acquired permanent residence in the country.
Insiders spoken to on condition of anonymity said staff were “walking on eggshells” and a sense of unease and uncertainty was growing because many fear losing their jobs.
The airline’s manager of corporate communications, Paulus Nakawa, said the perception was “devoid of any truth”.
