A three-year-old boy who was swept away by a flooded river at Komsberg in the South last week Thursday still had not been found by late yesterday.
The search for the boy continues while hope of finding him alive is slowly dwindling. The flood destroyed the reed huts of workers at the Komsberg grape farm on Thursday night.
After hours of continuous rainfall, Komsberg – located in a valley next to the Orange River some 70 kilometres west of the Ariamsvlei border post – experienced a flash flood from the surrounding mountains after a cloudburst.
