Similo clarifies NBC’s position

NBC director-general Stanley Similo has clarified the public broadcaster’s position following media reports that it had cancelled a weekly talk show in order to avoid “stepping on people’s toes” in a “politically sensitive time”.
It was understood that Monday’s “Talk of the Nation’ show was cancelled to prevent former education minister Nahas Angula from saying anything that might offend his successors”.
