Conmen walk away with N$350 000

A female resident of Ongwediva in the Oshana Region fell victim to conmen who walked away with more than N$350 000.
The apparently fairly wealthy woman, whose name was not revealed to this newspaper, was persuaded to give money “to be multiplied”.
It all started on December 17 with a N$20 note, but by the time the woman discovered that she was being tricked, she had already lost N$350 000. A case of fraud was opened at the Ongwediva police station on December 23.
