The City of Windhoek says the light rains experienced over the past few days made no difference to the city’s water crisis and the water restrictions remain in place.
City spokesperson Joshua Amukugo says despite a 25% drop in water usage over the past few weeks, people should continue to use water sparingly and comply with the restrictions announced last month.
“Our request and instructions remain the same. The current water level is below the expected water level, particularly when compared to that of the past years this time of the year.”
