Teacher gets bail in case of alleged rape of pupil

A teacher accused of raping a primary school learner in the capital between May and October this year, has been granted bail.
The 34-year-old Patrick Geingob was on Tuesday granted bail of N$7 000 by Windhoek Magistrate Alvinia Gawanas following a successful formal bail application, which was brought before court by his privately-instructed defence lawyer, Garth Joseph.
The bail was granted with stringent bail conditions in that Geingob should not make direct or indirect contact with the family of the complainant or the complainant
herself.
