More gravy on the way

President Hage Geingob is to decide whether to approve a 6% salary increment for public office-bearers, following a recommendation by the Public Office-Bearers Remuneration and Benefits Commission (POBC).
Presidential Affairs Minister Frans Kapofi indicated yesterday that the commission had recommended a 6% salary hike for MPs and other senior political appointees.
This comes hot on the heels of Geingob approving massive utility allowances for public office-bearers, leading to a public uproar.
