The Namibia Schools' Sports Union (NSSU) on Saturday announced two youth hockey teams that will represent the country at the Southern Region Hockey Championships this month.
The Under-16 and U-18 girls’ national hockey teams will travel to South Africa on Saturday.
The Southern Region Hockey Championships will be hosted in Potchefstroom from July 6-8.
The regional hockey championship is a Level A tournament where the top youth teams from South Africa’s provinces compete against each other.
Namibia usually takes part as a guest team.
