Majiedt will know her fate December 1

Convicted fraudster Esmerelda Majiedt, who has confessed to stealing N$56 million from a cement company, is expected to be sentenced by the High Court on December 1.
She was convicted on 396 counts of fraud after admitting to defrauding AfriSam in what has been described as the biggest case of its kind in the country’s history.
Arguments in mitigation and aggravation of sentence were finalised before Judge Christie Liebenberg yesterday.
Majiedt will be sentenced as a first offender.
