The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture, Sanet Steenkamp, says it is of critical importance that the principles of honour and duty are restored in the teaching profession.
She was referring to details that have emerged about the murder of 18-year-old Jacqueline Kuaseua, a Grade 10 learner at Augustineum Secondary School, and her 30-year-old sister, Cecilia Kuaseua, in Khomasdal last Friday. The alleged killer, Ananias Kamati, was Jacqueline’s Otjiherero language teacher, with whom she was allegedly cohabiting.
