The Basic Income Grant (BIG) Coalition has appealed to government to urgently introduce a N$200 monthly grant to wipe out poverty.
Newly appointed coalition chairperson Wilfred Diergaardt said it will cost government only 5 to 6% of the national budget to introduce the grant.
He also challenged Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare Minister, Zephania Kameeta, who has been at the forefront of the campaign to push for the implementation of a BIG.
