Victim’s family heartbroken as alleged passion killer gets bail

The family and friends of the late Louise Roxey Alupe, 24, were left heartbroken after her alleged killer Jomo Petrus, 31, was granted N$4 000 bail by the Walvis Bay Magistrate’s Court this week.
The accused allegedly blindfolded and shot Alupe in the head on November 10 last year as they sat in a vehicle at Independence Beach in Walvis Bay.
He then turned the gun on himself, but the weapon jammed.
Petrus then used broken glass to cut his wrists, but he survived.
