Employment Equity Commissioner Vilbard Usiku has confirmed that Salini SpA recruited a number of foreigners at the expense of Namibians.
Usiku was responding to a report by Namibian Sun citing irregularities and inconsistencies in the recruitment of certain foreign skilled and unskilled workers by the company. Usiku also said Salini could not furnish him with proof of vacancy advertisements in the local media for all jobs that are currently filled by non-Namibians.
