The Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Fund says on average one person is killed on Namibian roads and about 16 suffer serious injuries every day.
A media statement issued by the MVA says the injuries suffered include limb loss, spinal cord, head and internal injuries.
According to the MVA, road crashes are a cause for concern in Namibia and each year over 600 people perish on the country’s roads, while more than 5 000 people are injured.
