Body Talk – Kurzca

Whether this is a good or a bad thing, ‘Body Talk’ is exactly what you expect from a music video by Kurzca; nothing more, nothing less. Shot with an iPhone 11 pro max, this video is another reminder to other musicians to always use resources and tools at their disposal as opposed to always wanting to make use of high-end equipment. Namibia is a conservative society and there is brow-raising content in this video – and that is exactly why it is raking in thousands of views. The visuals of this song were shot in the Dominican Republic.

Superstar – Lioness

Lioness is a machine at the rate that she puts out new music. ‘Superstar’ is a laid-back track that fuses hip hop with Amapiano. Released about a week ago, ‘Superstar’ promises to be one of the biggest songs of the year judging by how it is being embraced by the music community. To extend the song’s lifespan the music video is out on YouTube today.

Plug – Karishma

Karishma is in her own lane, pouring out ambient theme music for Sunday afternoon drives and chilled sessions - at a time when a lot of new Namibian releases sound like South African and Nigerian musicians’ throwaway catalogues.

Maybe the industry’s best-kept secret at the moment, Veekay’s ‘Paranoia’ is the kind of music that your favourite artist imitates to elevate their own sound. The perfect combination of soothing abstract sound instrumentation, and rap courtesy of rapper Dice.
