A quarter of the Namibian population may go hungry until March 2016.
This is one of the findings of a drought impact study commissioned by the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry and the Office of the Prime Minister.
No community has been spared by the drought that has ripped through the country over the last two years, Deputy Prime Minister Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah said yesterday.
Nandi-Ndaitwah spoke during the handover of a donation of dried fish, maize meal and blankets from Namib-Re, RDS Fisheries and Namib Mills.
