Erongo Regional Governor Cleophas Mutjavikua says the proposed N$8 billion Desert Rose Namibia International Convention and Exhibition Centre (NICC) project, to be constructed between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay, will go ahead despite opposition from certain quarters.
The project, which is developed by Sand Rose Investments whose shareholders include prominent businessmen Desmond Amunyela, Lazarus Jacobs, Nardo Sardinha and Paulo Coimbra, is in the vicinity of Vierkant Klip.
