Definitely, not an event to be missed this weekend.
The underground first car lot meet in Namibia is the biggest and most anticipated event that will have wheels lovers drooling over the 100 cars that will be showcased at the meet.
The car entries will be from all corners of Namibia from the coast to the eastern parts.
The competition will look for the best auto styled, spray paint details, the best super bike just to mention a few.
All the funds raised from the event will go to the We Care Trust automatic school for young Namibians that have realised their talent early enough to chase it already. The school will have mechanic related modules and lessons that will help start their careers.
“The learners will come in from the age of nine when they have learned how to read and write.
Not everyone can meet university entrance requirements so, the We Care Trust is an organisation that caters for them,” said Alois Greifeneder the organiser of the event. Alois started his own mechanic worship at home after his mother refused to fund anything not related to university.
Today, he has two workshops under his name and 12 employees he pays every month.
The show will take place at the Khomas Grove mall underground lot and tickets sell at N$100 on Saturday.
“The ticket will give you access to all venues. The event starts as a family event from 15:00 and the after party continues until 04:00. It’s going to be lit,” said Alois.
