With another outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease reported in the Zambezi Region, authorities are hard at work to prevent it spreading.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry also said the problem of the Veterinary Cordon Fence being cut by communal farmers north of the fence to secure grazing for their livestock has been solved.
The Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer in the ministry, John Shoopala, said any livestock crossing the Red Line would be destroyed. So far 17 animals have been put down.
