Teachers countrywide will vote whether to go on strike when schools reopen at the end of this month.
This follows the issuing of a certificate of unresolved dispute after salary increase talks between the Namibian National Teachers Union (Nantu) and the government reached deadlock.
The union rejected the government’s proposed five percent increase while the government would not give in to the union’s eight percent demand.
Yesterday, conciliator Maiba Sinvula issued a certificate of unresolved dispute.
