Chinese extortion case postponed

Two Chinese nationals appeared before Magistrate Eden Iyambo in connection with an attempted robbery and extortion which took place at approximately 11:00 on Sunday at the new industrial area in Walvis Bay.
The accused, Lian Xing Kevin Lui and Xhing Yan Zhang, could also face an attempted murder charge, according to prosecutor Faith Nyaungwa.
Lui and Zhang were arrested in Walvis Bay after they allegedly held a Chinese businessman at gunpoint while trying to extort N$8 million from him.
