The founder of the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Church in Namibia, Pedro Marcelino Moussongela, is to appear in court today in what is possibly the largest case of human trafficking in Namibia’s history.
The self-styled Mennonite pastor will first appear in the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court on a charge of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
In this matter, Moussongela is accused of having kidnapped his daughter and then allegedly assaulting the girl’s mother outside the NamRights offices in Windhoek.
