The State has argued that Fidelity Security Services driver Jan Julius facilitated and assisted a cash-in-transit robbery, in which N$5.7 million was stolen along the B1 highway near Brakwater on 27 December 2005.
Prosecutor Anita Malherbe Meyer yesterday submitted during the closing of the State’s case that Julius was instrumental in the robbery.
So far the police have only recovered N$3.39 million of the stolen money in South Africa.
The money belonged to First National Bank, Bank Windhoek and Nedbank Namibia.
