The Namibian Association of Medical Aid Funds (Namaf) is not exempted from the jurisdiction of the Namibian Competition Commission (NaCC), the High Court has ruled.
The Competition Commission as a statutory body has the power to administer and enforce the Competition Act and its powers include investigating anti-competition conduct outlawed by the Act.
The issuing and publication of benchmark tariffs in respect of medical services are not exempted from the application and force of the Competition Act.
