The eight people who drowned when the bakkie they were travelling in capsized while trying to cross a river at Okangwati in the Kunene Region have all been identified by their families.
Police released the names of the deceased yesterday. The five adults were the driver, Frans Manjara Thom, Maetusiepi Mbinge (male), Uapingena Thom (female), Karumuani Tjindunda (female) and Julith Mweliimbange Hamukwaya (female). The children who died were Tjireja Efraim, 5 months, Kemuvazere Operi Ado Muhenye, five years, and Vision Zakutura Muhenyem, a four-year-old girl.
