The plane crash that killed three experienced pilots near the Hosea Kutako International Airport on Friday morning left charred trees and a smell of burning that still hung in the air hours later.
The three pilots who died during a training flight with a Cessna 425 twin-engine aircraft have been identified as Uwe Herbert, Fritz Alpers and Ole Friede. The small aircraft took off from the Eros Airport in Windhoek and was supposed to land at the international airport.
