Namibian Police Chief Sebastian Ndeitunga yesterday said he has 72 hours to identify a senior detective to join a SADC team to investigate the death of Lesotho’s former army commander, Lieutenant-General Maaparankoe Mahao.
This follows an extraordinary summit of SADC leaders which discussed the increasingly volatile situation in Lesotho.
Mahao was shot by government soldiers in his home last week, in a killing that has been condemned by the United Nations (UN) and the African Union (AU).
