Katutura residents reeled in shock yesterday after a 43-year-old man reportedly bashed his five-year-old son against the floor on Sunday evening. The child, who was living with his dad, died on the spot. The suspect was arrested and is due to appear in court this morning.
The man was reportedly drunk when the incident occurred at around 22:00. The gruesome incident has shocked residents of Mike Shimbuli Street and the surrounding community. Many expressed disbelief, while others spoke out against violence when Namibian Sun broke the story on its Facebook page.
