A strong contingent of uniformed and plainclothes police officers descended on a luxurious house in the Oshakati West yesterday morning, sealed off part of the street and immediately started emptying the house of its contents.
Police officers at the scene and the regional police commander, Commissioner Rauha Amwele, were tight-lipped about the operation.
The operation started early in the morning but by noon police officers were still carrying furniture from the house.
No one was allowed near the house. Passers-by were either re-routed or simply turned back.
