The Minister of Urban and Rural Development says she was never informed about a lack of suitable candidates for the interview panel to appoint a chief executive officer for the Okahandja municipality.
The municipality has been without a permanent CEO since the resignation of Frans Enkali in December last year.
Following Enkali’s exit, the Okahandja municipality’s management committee appointed Berem Kaurimuje as acting CEO, a position he held until the end of May, when Nico Titus took over, also as an acting CEO.
