Youth leader Mandela Kapere was re-elected to a third term as executive chairperson of the National Youth Council at the council’s general assembly held in the Zambezi Region last week.
Attended by nearly 300 delegates from regional youth forums, youth organisations and affiliates, the NYC’s highest decision-making body concluded with what many perceived as an inclusive move.
Kapere had been blamed for the council’s failures by the likes of the Affirmative Repositioning leadership and other non-affiliates, but nobody else stood as candidate for the position.
