Kavango residents rally behind Diescho

Traditional leaders in the Kavango East and West regions have summoned all their subjects to a ‘Mataratara’ – a gathering under traditional structures – in rejection of the axing of Joseph Diescho as the head of the Namibian Institute for Public Management (NIPAM).
The last time such a meeting was held was in October 1970 and it drew Kavango people from all over the country to fight against the South African apartheid regime.
Namibian Sun understands that the residents of both regions are angry at the government for neglecting them.
