Twelve fishing companies will today seek an urgent High Court interdict to end an illegal fishermen strike in Walvis Bay and Lüderitz, which began on October 26 and now threatens to cripple the industry.
The Mining, Metal, Maritime and Construction (MMMC) Union, the Namibia National Labour Organisation (NANLO), the Office of the Labour Commissioner and over 1 000 striking fishermen are among the respondents in the matter.
