The Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) Walvis Bay chapter has called on able businesses to contribute between N$250 000 to N$1 million each towards raising the N$600 million required to fund President Hage Geingob’s war against poverty.
NCCI Walvis Bay Branch Chairperson Tony Raw said they were looking to “initiate a prototype” that brings together business, society and government in the anti-poverty battle.
He said a committee would be established that would coordinate voluntary contributions by those who can afford to give them.
