Striking fishermen have rejected a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the Ministry of Labour, Industrial Relations and Employment Creation, trade unions and stakeholders within the industry, saying it doesn’t change their working conditions at all.
The fishermen marched to the ministry’s Walvis Bay office yesterday and handed over a petition demanding that President Hage Geingob and Prime Minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila take action and dismiss Labour Permanent Secretary Bro-Mathew Shinguandja.
