More than 500 striking fishermen left Walvis Bay for Windhoek yesterday.
“We are going to continue our protest action where we will be camping at State House in Windhoek. We are doing this in order to obtain answers from the powers that be.
“We voted and deserve improved living conditions as well as answers for the issues we raised,” said the fishermen, who are members of the Metal, Mining, Maritime and Construction (MMMC) Union.
The striking fishermen arrived at the Kuisebmond football stadium with their luggage and boarded about 50 minibuses for Windhoek.
