Attempted kidnapping in Windhoek

Three men tried to abduct a 13-year-old girl on the Wernhil Park bridge across Mandume Ndemufayo Street in Windhoek on Saturday.
The mother of the girl, Maria Stefanus*, said she was surprised when her daughter came home from the shops in a state of fear with tears running down her face.
She had sent her daughter (whose name cannot be revealed because she is a minor) to buy groceries at Pick n Pay in Wernhil Park. The mall is a ten-minute walk from their apartment.
