Hage pledges 20% of salary to the needy

President Hage Geingob has pledged 20% of his salary to start a scholarship fund for impoverished children.
He made the announcement at the weekend in Windhoek during the launch of the Swapo campaign for the upcoming regional and local authority elections.
Furthermore, Geingob told Swapo supporters that the modalities for the 20% pledge will be discussed at a later stage. “Since we are fighting war against poverty, it is no too much to ask those that are fortunate enough to have employment to think about the brothers and sisters who have nothing,” Geingob said.
