Three Angolan nationals are expected to appear before the Otjiwarongo Magistrate’s Court after being found in possession of N$1.7 million in cash.
According to the Otjozondjupa police spokesman, Warrant Officer Maureen Mbeha, the three have been charged with contravening Sections 4, 5, and 6 of the Prevention of Organised Crime Act (POCA), which deals with money laundering and the acquisition of proceeds of unlawful activities.
According to the Otjozondjupa police, the three men aged 13, 31 and 33 were arrested on Tuesday after failing to explain the origin of the money.
