Ships warned about carrying Namibian charcoal

Shipowners have been warned to be cautious of carrying containerised charcoal cargo out of Namibia following a recent ship fire.
The warning comes after the container ship Mareno caught fire near Lüderitz at the end of last month.
The Mareno was en route to Lüderitz from Cape Town, but first sailed to Walvis Bay on August 29 where it loaded six containers with Namibian charcoal.
